ixPressia launches first product

SureJet: software to streamline the Industrial Inkjet Development cycle.

Generic solution designed to drive all Industrial Inkjet systems

Cambridge UK July 2006 – ixPressia, the specialist inkjet division of Cametrics Ltd, has launched, its first product, SureJet, at the IMI Inkjet Developers’ conference in Chicago, Ill.

A generic software solution, SureJet is designed to drive all industrial inkjet systems.

SureJet’s powerful print engine software will, for the first time, allow the seamless integration of multiple printheads; thus reducing development time and costs associated with the introduction and integration of new industrial inkjet printers.

SureJet is fully configurable and specially designed both for image reproduction and materials deposition.

Uniquely, the software provides a standard user interface, configurable for all elements of the print process. It integrates with multiple print head types, stage mechanisms and ink management systems.

Commenting, Nick Geddes, Director of Operations at ixPressia says: “There is a recognised need for a single, industry-wide solution that overcomes the requirement to repeatedly write new and costly software programmes for inkjet printers. We believe that SureJet provides that solution. There are huge costs associated with creating bespoke software and then redesigning it for new print tasks.

SureJet overcomes both of these issues by delivering rapid system configuration; bringing printers on-stream within timeframes which were once impossible.”

“Even the most complex printhead configurations are made simple as printheads can be ‘dragged and dropped’ with micron accuracy, while the software does the rest.”

The financial benefits of using a proven software solution are immense, believes Geddes. “SureJet is more cost-effective than bespoke solutions. The need to re-write software programmes for new printer types is eliminated and development risk is reduced.

Integrators, who carry the technical burden of bringing new printers ‘on stream’, will be able to predict more accurate lead times by using SureJet’s print engine software.”
